Challaborough is quite a hollow fun wave which gives you plenty of speed through the sections.
North Devon's surfing breaks are the closest consistent beaches to
London and the south of the UK. London to Croyde is about three or four hours by car, and the M5
is just less than an 60 minutes away. Devon has become very popular with
weekend warriors looking for a fast and easy surf trip, and a week or
more's break here almost guarantees you good surf and plenty of activities to keep
the rest of the family happy. Croyde is famous, but there are many
beachies like Putsborough which have mellow, friendly accommodation
options (plenty of campsites, surf hostels, guesthouses and bed and breakfasts) and attract plenty of swell. Devon has some of the best
BSA-accredited surf schools in the country as well as plenty of
shops and surf hire places. It's the best no-hassle surf holiday spot in the UK.
