Les Brayes is not normally surfed in the summer because it picks up less
surf than the splash and life guards flag the area off for swimmers
only. Works best with an easterly wind and westerly swells. In large winter groundswells the break can get very powerful with
some long walled up barrels. It is best on the dropping tide when the
rip is less severe.

Tips
Les Brayes has powerful waves that are not suitable for beginners. The paddle out from the tower is easy but there are rocks at low tide and heavy rips when the swell is big.
